A couple more G7L's from Antipodean Industrial

Post by aaronraad »

Just thought I'd add a quick pic to show you I'm not spending all my time on forums.

Image

From left to right: .243-105gr; .264-140gr; .308-210; .308-210

Okay so there are 2 x G7L--308-210's in the pic. If you can't see it there is a difference in the boat tail. Take a guess at the nominal length and angle of the longer boat tail.

Punch didn't make much of a rebate. So I'm not sure how long the punch will stand up to normal production pressures before splitting and failing.

When punches fail.

I just misaligned the projectile when pointing up. I hope it was me anyway or I've got another five duds.

Projectile on the right is the same G7L-308-210gr as in the the first picture (far right projectile). Boat tail angle reduced to 7.8 degrees and length increased to 0.246".

Aaron,

Any news on when your 243 bullets will be coming out?

Fingers crossed the .243-105gr's will be back again this month. The ejection pin hole on the pointing die needs a quick lap but being carbide it's not something I can rush.

I'm estimating a conservative G7 BC of 0.24 and a length of 1.195".
