I have an order in with Magnum Sports for some .300 saum. they told me it would be only a few weeks away 2 weeks ago. apparently they had the manifest of what was in the container.

Yeah apparently less than half of what was ordered is actually in the shipment. So shops might not even get what they have ordered!

Im screwed if I dont get mine. . . . 12months work for shit! :-(

Adam, It seems the shooters that are going with the 300WM-7mm case neck down, do it in 3 steps using a 300WM Redding Type S necking die. The third bush for the final neck down stays in as the final neck tension you want on your bullets.

I have gone with equally spaced .320, .315 and .310 for my 300WM neck down, might be worth a try on the saum if you can get cases. Just need a 300 Saum Type S die and a few bushes.

Ian

PS you could just change over to the 300WM and neck down to 7mm. Two reamers and you have a 300WM shooting the 230s and a 300WM-7mm shooting the new 195s when they come out. All this with only one set of dies needed. It looks like the 7mm version wont burn barrels any quicker than the Saum from what I have read so far! Will have first hand experience soon.
