Imperial sizing wax

I have just started to do my 308 neckturn project.
All working really well and getting good results as I fire form and ready to do my next cleanup on the necks.
I fully re sized using imperial sizing wax and now looking to clean the cases of this wax.
I have tried Mentholated Spirit but this seems to leave a thin film on my cases

Has anyone got a idea on what I can use to clean my cases?

Peter,

I get Hornady One-Shot sizing wax off cases by rubbing thoroughly with a dry micro-fibre cloth. I do it in two stages, once when they come out of the FL die, then with a newer cloth after bullet seating as they go into the ammo box. I find the second clean prevents them from becoming slippery when wet.

One-Shot smells like it is lanolin based so I suppose it could behave differently to Imperial.

I neck turn using Imperial. I put a cleaning patch soaked in metho onto an old brush and run it inside the necks, after turning, to get the wax out, then put the cases into the tumbler for a couple of hours to finish them off. The wax can be difficult to get out and if not fully removed you run the risk of powder kernels sticking to the inside of the necks. Getting it off the outside of the case is usually OK using just a cloth.

I FLS using Redding case lube on a pad - it is easier to get off than the wax, however, I do find the wax is better for neck turning.

Shellite from a hardware store is THE BEST thing to clean your cases after neck turning. Shellite, is usually in the same area you find metho etc at Bunnings. Clean it in whatever you want at first (if you feel the need, I just go straight to shellite), then put it in shellite and you will see brass speckles in the bottom of the bowl. It will also dissolve the sizing wax very quickly. I just tip my turned cases into a bowl of shellite, swish it around a bit, then tip the shellite back into the bottle, stopping before the scum stuff starts flowing from the bowl back into the bottle.

I use Shellite for cleaning projectiles prior to molying. I put about 100 projectiles in a plastic sealable container along with small squares of flannelette soaked in Shellite. Tumble by hand for about 2 minutes, then empty them into a towel and swing them to remove residue.
