New F-Class Event at 2015 NRAA Queens

Post by AlanF »

How about some Bisley style shooting at Belmont 1000yards! Great practice for the FCWC individuals. Well done Ernie, and well done NRAA. =D>

Yes, this is a real shot in the arm for F Class in Australia.

Ernie was very humbled by having the cup named after himself.

At first he thought he was in trouble when summoned to an NRAA meeting. :D

Great move. I hope there will be more Bisley style shoots in the future.

Any idea if it will be squadded.

Rod,

I suspect that it will be squadded in the same manner as the Kaltenberg. There, the top 20 are assigned to position according to result. The highest scoring shoots in the centre of the squad (as close as is mathematically possible for the pedants), the next beside him & the rest cascade off to either side in pairs.

As there are four FO and F Std and two F/TR shooters squadding won't be much of an issue.

Oh, I missed that bit. It should be good.
hopefully the number of competitors in the line up will increase as overall competitor numbers increase.

I will put it this way The Mace Cup is a shoot off after the event to see who will be 1st 2nd and 3rd place getters using a format not used anywhere else in the match. It should not be part of, or the final match for the event.
I for one will not participate, win only to be told you only won the right to be in the final match for placings.
Thumbs down.

Why will numbers increase when you win only to be told you only won the right to be in a shoot off to decide place getters.

Bindi, the Mace Cup is a seperate event to the National series. The winner of the Nationals is the No. 1 badge holder. Then no. 2, no. 3 etc.

The Mace Cup is a shootoff of the top place getters. The one who wins the shoot off wins the Mace Cup.

Numbers wont increase because of these new changes. The competitor numbers are trending upwards in general. At the moment we only have 30-40 in each class at the nats, but numbers are growing consistently. In 5 years time, will F Class entry numbers warrant 10 or more shooters shooting off for the Mace cup?
