Australia vs New Zealand...... FO / FTR

Post by MCLE »

Well all packed and ready to go some issues trying to keep somewhere near the allowable baggage limit .I can see us filling Qantas coffers with extra weight. The weather over there was a bit challenging last week I'm told with wind gusting up to 80 kph so nothing like a challenge to keep you on your toes.
Thanks Michael H

Good luck Michael, if you are close to the weight limit, just leave out some of Liam's stuff :)

Cheers

Best of luck to the teams, and yes, expect plenty of wind. Wellington is renowned for it.

Have been here awhile, enjoying the wine beer food and sights..

Customs (both sides of the pond) where great and no drama's at all.

Look forward to catching up with the rest of the team when they get here.

Good luck.
Don't forget, any score larger than a 5 in NZ is a sex.

Well we tried our gear out today to see if they survived the trip and try the Zeros at 300y.And all is good. The locals were having a comp and they let us bang off a couple. We have been made welcome and they can't do enought for us fantastic bunch .Our practice is tomorrow so hope the weather holds out.Interesting to see some of the locals using suppressed Rifles. It would probably never happen in OZ but it is better for people living close to ranges and more comftable for your fellow shooters. Our law makers could do worse than look at what NZ dose

Michael,
You guys need to watch yourself around those suppressors ! According to one pathetic little ex-Prime Minister Jonny Howard they must be mass murdering criminals to even want something like that !!
His office and the Federal Liberal party keep sending me invitations to attend functions that he is speaking at, so they clearly don't understand my repeated email replies, where I tell them that I despise him for what he did to the gun laws in Australia and that I refuse to be in the same room as the little germ.
So watch em......they will probably duck off the range and go rob a bank or a service station !
Extreme accuracy and precision shooting at long range can be a very addictive pastime.

On a serious note, what sort of calibres, distances and disciplines were they shooting with suppressors on ?
I understand that in parts of the UK countryside, it's illegal to spotlight foxes without a suppressor !
