Just found out about this business in my home town of Goulburn NSW. It is amazing the types of patterns that hydrodipping can impart to an object. Here is their facebook page. Their prices seem very reasonable. Painting of wide F Class / Fly stocks will cost a little more than a hunting syle.

they are going to do a test run for me on an old stock as a sample. Will update when done.

I too have some hydro dipping in progress and hopefully will pick it up next week. It wont be a stock, but I have my new stock once finished all lined up for hydro dipping- pending how my local guys go with it.

What sort of prices are we looking at for an F Class stock. I was hoping to get my new stock hydro dipped. Might even tart up and old stock or two if the price is reasonable.

Surely you're not thinking of pimping that good old black stock

Re: Hydro Dipping Gustocks
I have received a demo stock back today from being hydrodipped. It is pink / mauve
" girly man" camo. I will have it for people to look at on Saturday at the Goulburn OPM. It was an old Shehane Trakker, and now it looks a "million dollars".
Photo below is rifle re-assembled. Looks great. These guys can also do a faux carbon fibre.

Re: Hydro Dipping Gustocks
There is a visible join. In my case through the barrel channel and along the top edge of the butt. However, the guy who did the job is a craftsman, he sprayed a nice black narrow contrasting strip over the join before he applied the clear coat. Looks really good. Having said that, I did look at some production rifles at the LGS, and although visible, the join was not off putting.
