Wise words Alan. Its fun with hot stuff, and you learn a lot but you are always chasing a tune, a barrel and brass, both metal and paper and don't get consistent results to be consistently competitive.

maybe i will stick with the 7 saum, its probably the ideal calibre for that case size, ie 7mm, and i already have the dies, brass etc. apparently its hard to get the dies for a 6.5-300 saum.
