I am an F-Standard shooter but have just had my 7mm Rem Mg Sendero re-barreled in an effort to have a crack at F-Open.
I was thinking of trying 180gn Bergers and maybe ADI 2213SC, however I was hoping for some advice from my fellow F-Open shooters.
Any pet loads out there that are good to 800m ?
Best 7mm Rem Mag Load…?

Re: Best 7mm Rem Mag Load…?
in my 7 mm rem cci 250 primer and the 168g vld burger 71g of ar2217 for 3070fps and for the 180vld burger 69g of ar2217 or 71.5 ar2225 for 2960fps
IMHO ar2213sc is too fast for the rem with anything over 140g

Re: Best 7mm Rem Mag Load…?
I started off in F-Open with a 7mmRem Mag. Great fun and got me hooked on the sport.
It was just a Remington SPS with a thin barrel but still managed good scores once I worked out mow much it climbed the target as the barrel got red hot.
AR2217 is the go in a 7mm Remmy Mag. I used CCI 250 primers as well.
Lust run a mild load, let the barrel cool between each shot and you will get great accuracy.

Anyone at all use 2213SC or is it simply too fast a burner ?
Re: Best 7mm Rem Mag Load…?
well not much luck with the 180gn Bergers. Tried 61gn, 62gn and 63gn 2213SC, but groups were pretty average (0.75MOA).
I think I'll try the lighter 162 Amaxes or 168 berbers…?

What twist is your barrel? If it is 9" twist you might want to do more work with the 180s. You had a 1gn spacing between loads in testing, it is likely you could have missed a node, maybe try 0.5gn OR LESS difference in loads when testing. Did you experiment with different seating depths?
Re: Best 7mm Rem Mag Load…?
Good points - I haven'y played around with seating as yet, but I would have thought 160gn weight projectiles would be better in a 7mm Rem Mag?
