Hi All, Here's a pic of my latest toy. A few years ago I was advised by a gunsmith(not Matt) that I shouldn't let Rod D talk me into buying a barnard So here I am with one I still think the back end looks like a piece of water pipe cut off in a drop saw but this stock hides that. Gunsmith-Matt P The stock is by Rob Eager with a lowrider front and rear. Adjustable butt plate which needs trimming. Cal 7mm short saum No testing yet

Il be interested to see the results when you start testing in regards to velocity/powder charge etc with the smaller case. I think it will work very well..
Tony, You are right, the tuner is a Paroz creation. I used to think barrel tuners were just introducing another variable(which they are) however my thinking is that if you turn up to a queens etc with you ammo loaded and find out the conditions send it out of tune you are snookered. With a tuner you have a chance of fixing that(if you know how to use it )

Great, as if it wasn't hard enough to beat you blokes already. Now you are ganging up on us with a gaggle of barnard's. (or is that a battery of Barnard's?)
Anyway, great looking rifle Tim, I'm sure it will shoot as good as it looks.
Well, some test results: Water capacity of short saum 64 gns 284 same method 67gns Water to top of neck 50.8gns of 09 sent a 168 @ 2840f/s 51.6 = 2870 f/s More testing to do Higher velocities printed lower at 100 yds It did produce a couple of 60:5 at Canberra
