Cheap Homemade brass case tumbler DIY

Post by Philski »

hi all

i made this el-cheapo case tumbler today and it works a treat. I didnt have any walnut or corn or stainless pins.
So, i used (new) stainless nuts, bolts, screws and washers from the shed. No polishing additives the first go, but will use a dash of armorall etc next time.

All you need it an orbital sander, $15,, some liquid nails or gap sealer and a container.

Run time was under 5 min!

HI Chop

Thanks mate and Great tip. i hadn't thought about pressure. I think my spent primers would make okay tumbling media too. just looking at them. Once i get enough of them, i will ultrasonic clean them, so there is no rubbish in them and give them a go.

I forgot to post in the above too. The square bucket turned the brass over really well, but after a while the cases all stood up with the necks exposed. I will give my wifes round plastic mixing bowl a go next attempt. when she isnt looking.

Have a great night and thanks for the reply.

Kindest Regards
Phillip
