Hi,
Two questions if I may: Firstly would you recommend a Kestrel Elite with applied ballistics if I am trying to extend my shooting from 500 to 1000m?
Secondly does anyone have any experience on how reliable the kestrels are? As I am overseas I can pick up a Kestrel elite for about $990 but in Australia they are nearly$1700. The only issue is that having bought overseas I won't have access to the 5 year warranty? So is a 5 year warranty worth an extra $700?
Thanks
Jonathan

It depends what application you require this for?
For F Class it cannot be used on the mound.
if for other then I advise first you need a first rate range finder to be able to put the ballistics to work
Then you need a very good spotting scope for your offsider to use.
Not to mention a first class accurate platform to use of course.
After all that Kestrels are good gear!

Re: Kestrel Elite reliability
Thanks Shane, its not for use on the mound but in the field. I am looking at linking it with a Bushnell Elite 1 mile LRF.
