Im getting my 308 rebarreled to 6BR. Does anyone have any load data i can start with for 87-88gn bergers or v-max, and 105gn Amax or lapuas?

Re: 6BR starting loads
I run 105gr Berger Hybrids with 2208 powder and CCI benchrest primers 10thou off the lands and 30gr of powder in mine. That load will shooting 1/4" groups at 300 yards.
Also run 75gr v-max pills in it for foxes, 10thou into the lands with 32.8gr of 2208 and the same primers. Will put bullets into the same hole at 200 yards with that load. Have fun!

Thanks for that Barossa, can't find any 105 Bergers in Sydney or Qld. Did get a box of 88gn varmints though.

107gr sierras- start at 10 thou jump, CCIBR4 or 450 primers start at 29gr of 2208 and work up slowly in 0.2gr increments. Expect you will find something accurate around 30gr but you will need to do the proper testing for powder charge and seating depth.

Should have also mentioned start low and work up, what works for me might not for you. Cheers!

Same for me with 105gr Berger VLD's. Started at 28gr of 2208 .020" jump and found the best accuracy just over 30gr. Just about to start using the Sierra's as that's all I can buy at the moment

Re: 6BR starting loads
I have found with 105-107gn pills a powder charge of 2208 between 29.7 and 30.3gns jumped around the 5 to 15thou is where you find good accuracy, start low and work up.
