Which primers are these?

Mine were Federal GM210m.

400 rounds ago in my WSM, I changed primer batch numbers and instantly found a 25fps difference. I still had some of the old batch and ran comparison tests to prove the difference. That's the other point that makes me curious in weighing primers, if you can see 25fps difference with what seems to be such a small amount of compound then it seems like an area that could benefit in uniforming.

It is VERY batch dependent. Some were far better than others. I found a btach that didn't vary much, bought a few thousand and don't sort.

I was told (often) that GM are not a separate run of primers, but just the standard ones that batch test to Federal's GM quality standard. They will hive out & wax brand runs until they get enough for marketing needs. Thus, they can vary & they can be better or worse than a given batch of standard Federal primers.

Ok , I'll come clean ! I've turned into an obsessive compulsive shooter now and have weighed my primers . Testing at 1000 yds even just weighing to the gram showed some promise !
I have weighed for the Queens and ; I don't believe or put a lot of faith in my chances . I guess for the sake of the experiment let's see how it shoots on paper ! The week link again is me , but even if weighing primers is a good thing , the rifle should hold good water line ! It will be interesting !
I hope it doesn't rain , I hate rain ! :x
