Ron Betts
I was saddened to hear that Ron Betts passed away this morning. For those who didn't know Ron, he was an F-Standard shooter from Darwin, originally from one of the islands off the coast of the UK. He travelled extensively to Queens shoots around Australia, and remained competitive throughout the last 10 years, always friendly and will be sadly missed.

Ron was a proud "Falkand Islander" - and a truer Gentleman you would be hard pressed to find.
RIP Ron.

Re: Ron Betts
That's sad, he was a very nice bloke.

You might as well be yourself, everyone else is already taken.
Re: Ron Betts
Met Ron a few times, and was camped next to him in Townsville one year, top bloke, always up for a chat and a laugh.
Condolences to the family.

Very sad to hear of Ron's passing.
I had the pleasure of shooting on the same board as Ron at quite a few Queen's.
He was a great ambassador for F class and a true gentleman.
RIP

Re: Ron Betts
He was a RO's delight - always cooperative, never pushing the rules, inevitably polite.
Miss you, mate.
