REAMER SPECS

Post by twotwothree »

Hello,
I have been trying to work out the position of the lands by using the reamer diagram for my 6.5x47. there is one measurement of 2.0378 indicating "lead". Another is 2.2975 "throat". On the bottom of the page there is a comment that said Throat datum .262 x 2.087 from bolt face. This seems to be closer to what i'm getting by colouring the projectile black and chambering. Do any of these numbers even relate to the lands position or am i better of getting a hornady tool to measure the lands. Thank

Thanks Brad Y. That looks very simple I was also thinking if I could leave the ejector out as the tikka action fairly throws the case and puts a small scratch on the outside of the case.

Yes mine dings the case of the mouth as it throws them out but it's only a 223 varmint gun so I don't worry. Could shorten the spring or find a replacement that's a little lighter as well
