What great F-Class contests we have going after the first day! In F-Open we have the top 8 all averaging over 95. In F-Std the top 6 are all averaging better than 58. And in both categories nearly everyone in the field is close enough to get into the badges if they go well at the longs.

Cameron did some spying for us at the range today and got a list of all calibres used in F-Open. To the best of Cameron's knowledge, this is what is being used :
Cameron McEwan 3-700 6BR, 8-1000 300WSM
Julie McEwan 6BR
Andrew Kattenhorn 6x47
Alan Peake 6.5x55Arch
John Tracey 284
Doug Turner 6BR
Barry Lewis 3-600 6BR, 7-1000 284
Marty Lobert 3-400 6BR, 5-1000 284
Stuart Elliot 6.5x47Improved
Ross Atherton 3-600 6BR, 7-1000 6.5x284
Chris Burdett 6BR
Bevan Appleby 6XC
Kelvin Bell 3-600 6x47, 7-1000 6.5x284
Chris Bell 6.5x284
Meichelle Knudsen 6BR
Things apparently got very tricky this afternoon, with the wind changing in strength and direction catching most shooters. So don't expect the scores to be like yesterday.

Just wanted to say to all that attended the Queens this year that the friendship and the comeradery that exists between shooters at these events is what makes it all so enjoyable and worthwhile.
A special thanks to Cameron McEwan for some very timely advice and help with some JB bore paste
Those who were there know what I mean
Thanks mate!

Well done Marty. It was a great Queens to win with a big field and a quality field too. From the scores it was very close right to the end. When I spoke to Cameron on Friday evening we discussed the new 1000 target and how it would give anyone within 10 or 20 points of the lead some chance, and you certainly took advantage of the opportunity. I hope you can venture down to some of the more southerly queens soon.

Congratulations Marty. I will never forget the look on your face when we let you know you were the winner.
This was a great Queens, tight competition and as Marty said the comeradery. It was also great to have two ladies competing in FO, my ever supportive wife Julie and Meichelle who was competing at her first ever Queens/ Prize Shoot.
As Alan and I discussed it can be anyone's match right to the last shot. ( I wish I could have my last 2 shots again.......next year )
Congratulations to all the F Class shooters, hopefully we can get down south of the boarder........
