I think you have covered all of the important stuff and 500 under give you plenty of flexibility to adjust the balance of the rifle

Hi Jase
Like you we had to make some weight up. I have a Bolly stock with a Barnard Action..And it depends on what bipod and Barrel combination we use. If we use a 550 gm bipod then we can run 3.7 KG barrels but don't know if this helps but it dose give you the option .But we have been playing with wide Footprint Bipods. It's 800mm and 1.4 KG and they are as solid as a rock and don't jump around a lot

Thanks MCLE, what scope are you using at the moment? Also is the bipod your referring to of your own make or a commercially available?

We run March 8x80x56 and the Bipods are Commercially available. Just Give Adam Davies a call..Just ordered another one but milled out a little to see what saving in weight we can gain..
