"WEIGHT", WHATS MISSING?
Hello, im in the process of planning and acquiring parts for my FTR build and i just wanted to get some opinions as to what i need to consider for weight. So far i have weights as follows
Barrel 3650 grams
Action 820 grams includes trigger
Stock with bedding plated, recoil pad and fixtures 1250 grams
Scope is a NF BR so i think thats 1100 grams
Bipod 550 grams
Im not sure about scope base and rings weight, but to question is there anything else i have not considered that i should have?

Re: "WEIGHT", WHATS MISSING?
I will be using a CG DELTA LMT action, the weight i quoted is off of the actionclear website. Do you think it will be too light?

Re: "WEIGHT", WHATS MISSING?
From your post it's not clear how you are going to deal with the recoil lug arrangement. Are you using the third action screw as the recoil lug (with a pillar?) or running with a remington style recoil lug, or by plate do you mean a Barnard V Block? (flexiblock config even?). Can make another 100-250g difference to the build so is something you may want to consider?
Judging from your weights it sounds like you are going for a V Block installed in one of our stocks, but I have to pose the question if you have talked about the recoil management with the gunsmith. I'd suggest the V Block arrangement for reliability and being thoroughly proven, but have to ask

I think that will be an absolutely awesome action. I'd have one in a heartbeat! I run a MH Arms CG Inch action and it is a very nice design.

Re: "WEIGHT", WHATS MISSING?
Ahh good, ive read alot of good things about both actions but i wanted it to be as light as possible. They seem good value also compared to overseas options

haha, yeah when you quote a weight of 1250 grams for a stock with a recoil pad and a bedding block... it was a quick give away. If you have any questions etc re. the stock just flick me a pm. We also sell custom made bullets to go with them now. I would love to see one of those actionclear's in the flesh too if possible.

Bourney

Re: "WEIGHT", WHATS MISSING?
I would rather build under weight and be able to add it to where ever I want so the balance is right

Re: "WEIGHT", WHATS MISSING?
Thats what im hoping to do Richard, I plan to end up with at least 500 grams up my sleeve. If i go to lighter scope i Should gain even more but thats the scope i have available. Do you think there is anything i have not accounted for ?
