Rain Shields For F-Class Rifles

I would like to know if there are any rules in regard to placing rain shields over the scope and action of f-class rifles.

TR have the following...

3.2 Aids and Accessories Permitted
3.2.1 A waterproof mat may be placed over the fore end and breech mechanism to prevent the entry of water.

What are shooters using to stop rain getting into the action that also enables carrying out shooting a detail. I would like to keep the ammo and action dry while I'm shooting.

The best I've seen so far was a plastic shield clipped to the scope that worked by forming a covering "roof" over the action. Malcolm Hill came up with the idea and I'm wondering what else people are using.

What works and what doesn't? Pictures would be good if available.

If it's not specified in F Class Rules, refer to TR Rules, I believe.
A rain shield would be an attachment, so the weight rule would apply.

I've got a sheet of cloth backed vinyl about a scope & a half long & wide enough to "tent" over the rifle & touch the ground both sides. It covers the scope, open bolt & gives me enough space to shove the ammo & my hand in out of the wet as well. I started using it with Match Rifle & continued with my F class gun. The only problem is that you can't see the scope knobs, but heck, if you can come in outa the rain, you can remember your settings, no?

I've seen a handtowel used in a similar manner.

Its going to be a very wet weekend so I need to come up with a solution and fast. Jane (wife) came up with an idea that involves an outdoor table cloth. Cut a hole for the objective lens of the scope to poke thru and extend it down the barrel so that it also covers the front rest.

If its gets put together by Saturday and works, I'll take a photo and display it for all to laugh at. I wonder if i can patent a table cloth for this sort of thing...?

Give some thought to the pattern - don't use anything that clashes!

Funny you should mention that! The table cloth does have a nice bunched flower motif and I could appear as a camouflaged flower bed while shooting from the mound.
