Bacchus Marsh Anzac Meeting

Post by DannyS »

Congratulations to members of the Bacchus Marsh Rifle Club for putting on a very well run event. I dont know what the numbers were in each class but there seemed to be a abundance of f class shooters.

Well done to Jenny Davies in taking out FA and to Adam Davies in winning F Open. :D :D

Total entries 46
made up of 15 TR,
31 F class -- 23 standard, 8 open.
Twice as many F Class as TR --ominous signs?
Excellent Day, as usual those who did not turn up missed out.

When the wind gets up at Bacchus Marsh, bad or unpleasant things can happen....

Ominous Signs -- bad or unpleasant for TR when they are outnumbered two to one.

I think Barry + James said it all :!:

Based on those TR numbers, you couldn't justify running an OPM for just 15 shooters.

Isn't it great how the F Class boys and girls turn up to assist with bolstering numbers, and making an event possible

The way things are going it'll become increasingly common for F-Class to outnumber TR at club shoots and other events. Eventually it'll happen at Queens as well. Its the total numbers that are most important for the success of an event, and for the survival of some ranges. I don't believe we need get too concerned as long as total numbers are maintained.

F Class got started by TR people including it in their PMs when our numbers were very low, and stuck with us. I think we should be happy to return the favour.

Some of us not so old blokes, should occassionally give TR a go. We have a TR team shoot coming up in a few weeks, so this weekend will be a practice at 800 & 900. Should be interesting, haven't used my TR rifle for about 12 months.

At least its rear sight now winds the same way as my scope. Now if I can only get my left arm to be as steady as my seb neo.

Hey David,

Yep I've had fun shooting TR in the 90's, and as recently as a few months ago! It still is good fun. I just don't have the gear or time at the moment to shoot it.

It is great to see that the Clubs running the OPM's, are doing a great job at ensuring equality across the disciplines.

Thats Great Bart, have a scope tucked away some where know the feeling.

The key thing is we are all shooter's, some people/Associations seem to have forgotten this.
