Hello from South Australia. It was the first day of the Hunt today. Because of the better conditions today, and expected strong winds again tomorrow, we did the longs. Wind was mostly between 11 and 2 o'clock, and moderate strength.

Results are HERE. As I speak, they say we did 6-7-800m, but we actually did 7-8-900m. As you can see its a CTV affair at the moment (their membership has a close resemblance to their state team actually.

). Well done to Mike Willment for a very consistent day's shooting. I believe everyone except Michael Otto (243AI) used 7mm today. My trusty 6.5-284 may emerge briefly tomorrow, although there is some doubt that any shooting will happen.

Will tell you more about that tomorrow night.

Hopefully you guys in SA don't cop the rubbish weather we have had in Perth for the last few days. It has cleared here though, it will be a beautiful days shooting at Swanbourne.

Just had our first rain stoppage, finished 600m, first shooters at 500 got a cease-fire :cry:

Bugger- its a crappy weather system that has rained and blown for a few days over here- hope it clears enough for you guys to get through your program.

We had two cease fires for rain at 500, my son set up on the mound three times before he got to shoot, but the range was completed by all, we only lost the 300m. Hopefully it will improve for the next three days.

, and a very impressive result for CTV :lol:

. The weather caused several re-arrangements of the schedule, but we still managed to get the 900 done and dusted - well done to the organising committee.

Now for that other shoot..... The weather is supposed to be improving over the next 3 days so here's hoping. I believe there will be at least two additional F-Open shooters.

congratulations stew! good result with the new rifle. hats off to Dave z with a 60.8!! won't ask what happened in the second round though?

ill catch you all tomorrow. looking forward to 3 days of getting back behind a gun and hopefully learning a thing or two.

One surprising statistic to come out of this years SARA Queens is that F T/R in its inaugural inclusion in the State Championships has one more entry than F-Open. F T/R has 12 entries competing and providing some very keen competition in very testing, (as always) wind conditions.

Congrats to SARA and the FCASA for providing a start for F T/R at the State Championship level and also for providing such a great prize in the Savage F T/R rifle for the eventual winner!

Hi to all the interstate observers. The first day of the Queens was the most pleasant day yet, still a bit cold and windy but some welcome sunshine. Today's F-Open daily agg was taken out by Richard Braund. At this stage anyone of the 11 could get up over the next two days - no doubt the 6-6-700m tomorrow will sort out the field. Day 1 Results

Hello again from the SARA Queens. It was another coolish day, mostly sunny, and light to moderate winds which became quite difficult when they were swinging back and forth from 12 o'clock to 2 o'clock. In fact A Grade leader James Corbett had a couple of birds at the second 600 when this was going on, and has dropped to 3rd.

Day 2 Results

Mark Heyward didn't return today (he only arrived back from China a day or two ago). As you can see its very tight with most of the field still in with a chance, particularly based on the history of the day 3 double 800. F-Open highlight of the day would have to be Dave Zerbe's 60.9 at 700.

All the F-Classes are squadded as a group at one end of the mounds - TR don't have super Vs. A few have expressed disapproval of this. Personally I don't see it as a big deal.

Time for more reloading - will try to post tomorrow as soon as final results are known.
