Hornady Bullets - halted production of some bullets and Ammo

Post by Quick »

Gents,

Just so you all know. Hornady have stopped production of a lot of their bullets. A lot of the target bullets have been axed aswell. The 75/80gr Amax, 105gr Amax, 162gr Amax and some of the newer BTHP bullets they make to name some.

Here's the full list - http://www.mediafire.com/?wbvgbbimkx2ytqd

I didn't see that coming, they must be way behind to take that action.

Lucky I stocked up.

G'day All,
STRUTH!
1. Are Hornady actually making ANYTHING?
2. Guess the 600 80gn Amax's I've got are almost worth selling back to the Yanks!

I wonder which butterfly flapped their wings to cause this?

Sigh

Happens every time there's a Democrat President. The Yanks buy everything that goes bang or makes things go bang for fear they'll lose them all, so the suppliers have to rationalise what they'll produce according to where they see their biggest bang for bucks market.

Read some of the US websites & you'll find that even rimfire ammo is off the shelves & the bootleggers are selling the makings at exorbitant prices.

You fill out a DEC07 and a B957 and submit to Customs. There's a bit more paper warfare at the US end too so I think you're better off to shoot them here.

I haven't looked at the original link but it might be for real Mike. I recently tried to buy a light-duty press for use in the US and they're like hens teeth over there. Lee aren't selling online at present and have a message saying "We're flat out supplying the dealers - try them" on their web site.

My local gunshop to the rescue! Well I think so - after a week they haven't rung to say Herrons are out of stock.
