It's probably best to introduce a child to the shooting sport with an air Rifle.

A very sad event.

Very sad, but not unique. A young boy shot himself dead in a similar incident in the US a year or so ago. So you cannot say that the instructor was unaware of the dangers, and one has to question the need to let a 9 year old shoot an automatic weapon. !

Total stupidity! [-X air gun or single shot 22 is where new shooters of any age should start. 9yrs old using an uzie is ridiculous.
