Castlemaine OPM

Post by MCLE »

Well we braved the weather and went to Castlemaine OPM.Rained most of the way from Melbourne and only let up ten mins from the range. We had most of the conditions you don't won't. From a breeze to strong wind rain and hail so not to boring.Still a heap of fun and a well run event.I Don't have all the results but here are the ones I have.

Hi Danny I have been lying low just wattling to pounce :D
And it helped a lot when he along with others shot it was windy with a side order of rain and hail.Luck players a huge part in this game. I'm not to confident that we can make your Prize Meeting Danny we were hoping to but it's looking a bit iffy.So best of luck as its for charity I hope you get a bit turn up best of luck Mate
Thanks Michael H

Good to see the 'Old Man' got a go this time around.

Notice he is starting to work on his center count, so don't go dropping too many points now :!:

Hey Mike, talking about father vs. son performances, we seem to have an interesting tussle in Gippsland - isn't N Waites your son?

And we don't want any any hard to believe excuses thanks.....

Hi Alan,

YES there is a good tussle going on at present :-)

HOWEVER in this case I'm happy?/sad? to say, the results are incorrect. Ian got the names mixed up. You may recall that you and I both ended up on equal scratch score, with me just 1 super behind you :?:

See what happens when such a simple typo occurs....... :D

Still, I'm very happy to see the boy's are enjoying giving their dad's a run for their money :!:

The only thing is Nick doesn't shut up about it. Once we leave the range that should be it???? shouldn't it? Unfortunately the conversation starts up again when he gets home. Wasn't there something about what happens on the range stays at the range

Hmmm, sounds plausible, but we'll need to keep a close eye on this developing situation. I'm lucky - my son shoots smallbore

Actually I was just using this as an excuse to show off Stratford-Maffra's superb effort in the Pennant. 8)

Congrats to the badge winners at Castlemaine. Looks like they were well-earned.
