I had to leave straight after scoring duties on the final range but I believe the day ended up in a tie between Mr Bunyan and Mr Stoffels. From what I have been told by the time they realised the results and a shootoff was required the guys had already packed everything away. Fantastic shooting by Shaun all day his rifle was doing really well. Brett as per normal was right up there. 11 shooters in FO which was great to see from WA considering 3 other open shooters were unavailable. Numbers are getting up there again.

I stuffed up my 300yd shoot (as I habitually have done before at swanbourne) and was way back, though happily only dropped one point in the long range agg. Wish I had of shot my 7mm all day instead of being blown around in the short ranges with the little dasher. Ending my final shoot ever at Swanbourne with a nice flat 60.3 at 900yds was a thrill.

Thanks to City of Subiaco for putting on a fine shoot. Will get a results list as soon as Im able.

Righto Boys...who shot with what ?
How about an abbreviated Equipment List ? 260 Ackley for you Mr Yates , or a combination ?
Extreme accuracy and precision shooting at long range can be a very addictive pastime.

The WA GOV has placed a ban on CONFIDENTIAL sensitive INFORMATION:
Off the cuff and I will deny every thing there was 2x 22lrs, 1HMR, 2 x hornets, several Ks and 222Rs and at least 2 other unknowns.
Conditions varied from 4 on to 4 off with everyone hurting some where, with cross fires shooters getting after 7 fired in a 10 shot. There was 3x7 and 2x 10. We were well fed and watered all day and the humour was 10 out of 10 with more than one comment about sorting the wind kites holding up shooting.
Well done Subi.

Tony I dont shoot a 6.5mm anymore. I shot the two shorter ranges with the dasher and the longer ranges with my 284 shehane.

Would like to thank all the F open guys who travelled a long way for our last prize meeting at Swanbourne!! It was a great day all be it damn hot (38"c) and to get those numbers is a great sign for W.A. that Open is starting to come back !! Hot dry easterly"s made it a very tough shoot and the scores showed it with some very good shooters walking off the mound with sad faces!! Well done to Shaun for putting in a very strong performance with his new barrel combo!! it was a shame it came down to a coin toss to decide the winner between him and myself but with both of us having only a couple of rounds left and the targets being packed away it was down to the luck of the coin to decide the winner !!!

Il include a calibre list below to the best of my knowledge of what people used..

Brett Bunyan 260AI
shaun Stoffels 7mm-08AI
Larry Lipple 284 Shehane
Mark Hammersley 6.5x55AI
Terry Sheedy 6BRX / 260AI
Bob Kinnear 6BRX / 7mm SAUM
Bruce Piper 308 ( heavy bullets)
Rod Rees 6x47
Warwick Brown 6x47
Ray Hurley 260AI
Brad Yates 6 Dasher / 284 Shehane
BRETT BUNYAN F CLASS OPEN SHOOTER W.A.
