Hi All
I read something recently about setting up the bushing die which suggested leaving a gap for the bush to be able to centre over the neck?
I have just tightened the bolt down which retains the bush and merrily sized away.
Am I "doing it wrong"?

Re: Setting up a redding bushing die
G'day Tim,
According to the instructions that came with my Redding bushing type die...
"Drop a bushing of the desired size into the body die. Insert the decapping rod
until you feel it make contact with the bush. Then back it away from the bushing
by 1/16 of a turn and lock in place. NOTE: This last step is very important to master. It
gives the bushing .003" - .003" clearance allowing it to self center on your case neck"
So yeah, according to Redding allowing the bushing to float is a good thing for your case necks.
cheers, Chris

Hi Chris,
Thanks for letting me know what I should have read
Instructions haven't always been a strong point for me.

Tim, you may like to have a look at the article/info that includes setting up a Redding Type S collet die in the Dec 28 2014 daily bulletin of Accurate Shooter.
