Dies and Neck bushings

Post by MR.Sako »

Hello everyone
I have recently gotten into target rifle and have been looking at getting https://q-store.com.au/collections/rifle-dies/products/die-comp-neck-308-set-redd and was wondering what size neck bushing would i need and whether i need to turn the necks or not. im using lapua brass and 155 gr dyers.

thanks

I cannot give advice on bushings or neck turning,as reload with more basic equipment,a Redding Body Die and a Lee Collet Neck sizer.I seat with the seater out of a Hornady die set.Probably a personal thing, some turn necks because of tight chamber necks but it is one thing I avoid.

hi there,
if you get yourself a type s redding neck die and a redding seating die you have all you will need for some time.
if you use a moderate load of 45.8-46.0 grains of 2208 and lapua shells you won't need the full length resizing die until you purchase another barrel. grab a .336 bush for the type s and forget about neck turning.
welcome to the greatest sport in the world!

Buy a Lee collet neck die, Redding body die & a Wilson straight line seater & forget neck turning. =D>
