Re: Sierra TMK projectiles
I have tried them at 600m without any load development, they did not stand out, I should probably try a ladder test with them.
Would be interested in what others find.

Re: Sierra TMK projectiles
Are there some available in Aus at the moment? Where can I source some 30cal pills from?

Re: Sierra TMK projectiles
There has been a 195 gr 30 cal announced recently also.
That will take ages to filter through normal Australian supply channels.
Plus they will usually only become available once US demand is satisfied?

Re: Sierra TMK projectiles
They're a bloody expensive bullet, so they would want to be good to tempt most shooters away from Bergers.

Re: Sierra TMK projectiles
this thread prompted me to have another try with the TMK, shot them at 800m, still didn't stand out.

Re: Sierra TMK projectiles
Interesting, they sell for US$47 per 100 and the price I see here is Au$108 per 100.
That is one hell of a mark up over and above the exchange rate.
I have been shooting the Sierra 2156 which is factory pointed and they seem to require 0.4 gr more powder to achieve same result as Berger Hybrid.
The TMK is only a 2156 with an acetal resin tip which seems to be a backward step from a solid pointed projectile to the same shape and a tip possibly subject to deformation?
It is a couple of years since I laid in a supply of 2156 and they cost me about $44 per 100 in the bulk packs. No way would I pay over a dollar for a 2156 with a fancy tip.
